Davido Debuts acting carrier in Nollywood

David Adeleke, aka Davido, has joined musicians like Banky W, Ikechukwu, Vector, Seyi Shey and Chidinma who have recently ventured into acting

Davido has landed himself a new role in the entertainment industry. The singer reportedly got himself a movie role courtesy his cousin, Ikechukwu Ojeogwu, who is an actor and producer.

The singer, who plays the role of a highly skilled pilot in a new released Nigerian movie, has conquered the music industry despite his young age.

The singer was seen in a yet-to-be released film titled “The Legend At 60” saw the actor play the role of an expert commercial pilot which happens to be the younger character of the lead actor, who’s an oil mogul.

This new development brings the singer to join the likes of Banky W, Ikechukwu, Vector, 2 Face who have all tried their acting skills.

Cousin to the singer, said Davido is eager to begin and he’s serious about the whole affair. “This is Davido’s first movie appearance, I, as the producer, have been able to work out things in such a manner that it would be beneficial to us all. I’ve crafted out a role that I know would put him in a comfortable position and won’t make him either excessive or otherwise.

“I know how big Davido is and I don’t want to put a lot of pressure on him because of his busy schedule and it is his first appearance. Furthermore, the script is in such a way that he doesn’t over shadow the beauty of the script but to add his weight to the success of the project,” he said.

Another Nigerian singer that star in this movie is Majek Fashek whose music career Davido tries to revive.
